On the average:      
A family of three uses about 36 gallons of water each day for showers; 1260 gallons are pumped onto the average size lawn each week; If you wash the dishes once a day you will use around 84 gallons in a week; Two loads of laundry can easily require 80 gallons of water per load; Washing your car each week you will use 200 gallons in a month;   Washing your car each week you will use 200 gallons in a month; Brushing your teeth after each meal uses about 9 gallons per day; We drink approximately 12 gallons of water each month; If we flush the toilet 4 times a day we'll use about 24 gallons of water; A leaking toilet can waste more than 420 gallons per week.
